Anupama has always been the strength of Shah family with managing her dual role โ update bahu, great mum and a business lady. But the episode also kind of gets at her in a more profound way โ that she has all this ambivalence wrapped up inside about how to serve others, and it sheds some light on why sometimes being everyoneโs helper doesnโt feel like putting your oxygen mask on first.
Anupama ) from the first day has a sacrifice wala character meaning she will always put others before herself. However, this episode really shows us the darkness of who she has had to become because of it. After thinking about all she had to forgo over the years, she wonders if it might finally be time to look after herself. The inner voices Anupama hears as described in the full course of the episode is quite understandable which has made people feel sorry for her character.
Meanwhile, the Shah family seeks solace in Anupamaโs sport to make decisions that benefit all but her. The show will also reveal that Anupamaโs family has a big business crisis in her place and Vanraj, whose role is played by Sudhanshu Pandey, is forced to persuade him for the business. Setting the tone of holding a woman responsible to always be putting her familyโs needs before herself, true story line.
In this episode, the tension between Anupama and Vanraj takes a notch higher as Vanraj could not hold his nerves on Anupama taking so much time to think. He is unable to grasp her emotional load and instead pushes for a choice that would put the family first โ again. The struggle that Anupama lives every day in trying to hold on to her individuality and also be responsible for the family.
While the family drama unfolds, support for Anupama comes in the form of Anuj played by Gaurav Khanna. While all the other members of the Shah family fail to realise that Anupama must follow her dreams, Anuj does and this is something especially forward for an Indian show. He tells her, it is up to you what do u want โฆi am always with youโฆ and then he disappears from parking.
Anuj provides a fresh perspective for Anupama and his unconditional support is diametrically opposite to the pressure she has from her family. Episode 6 with John Ham is a reminder that the best kind of love is when your partner helps you to grow individually. The Anupama-Anuj bond is one of the strengths of this show and here it dazzles brightly across in full daylight.
And in the process of time, Anupama will have to make a painful choice. She is not just dealing with what her career will look like after going public but also the example she sets for her kids. She knows, too, that if she keeps making her kidsโ happiness a priority at the cost of hers, all she will end up teaching them to do is be people pleasers.
And then, in the last moments of the episode Anupama finally comes to a conclusion and decides that she will chase her own dreams but not leave them, they might take time or maybe never be fully fulfilled. It is a powerful moment that defines her character- an act of caring for oneself, but also leaning heavily on selflessness. This choice is someplace the place Anupama began her journey to develop into impartial and powerful.
The 30th August 2024 Episode of Anupama | This is the heart-shattering yet critical episode that shows all those struggles inside and around which makes it significant to cage up such a kind or car if you can. The choice to put herself first is a tonal turning point of the highest order โ and not just for her character, but also for what one expects from a show like this going forward.
