In todayโs episode of Anupama (16th October 2024), the Shah family finds itself caught in a whirlwind of emotions and conflicts as Anupama faces yet another challenge. With the ongoing drama between Anuj, Malti Devi, and the Shah family, Anupamaโs strength and resolve were once again put to the test.
In the opening scene, we see Anuj unable to cope with the state of tension he has got himself into with Malti Devi. Ever since their wild card entry and the ultimate truth about how complicated they were, Anuj has been left battling his guilt feeling confused. Viewers saw him trying to sort it out with Malti Devi today but she was not willing. The range of complexity to their situation continued into the very conversation that they were having so emotionally.
Anupama was standing in the middle, always meditating And taking sides. She tried to broker peace between Anuj and Malti Devi, but alas were not reciprocated well which ensures that this Griffith feud far from over. Anjali and Anuj were seething with rage, Malti Devi was clearly burning in anger but it is interesting to note how the ever so calm and composed anchor of the family only decides to lose her cool few moments before Sakshi actually goes missing.
The episode also highlighted Anupamaโs equation with her son Samar and his wife Dimpy. Seeing the turbulence between Samar and the rest of the family so fresh, Anupama decided to stand firm this time. She clarified that even though she is close to her family, she gets sad when they blame people for not being with them and reminded fans that these boys are still young as well.
In todayโs episode, Anupama banishes misunderstandings around Samar and tells him she believes in him. This act made their bond stronger and it was clear that Samar felt his motherโs supportive needs. Dimpy, who has always been at loggerheads with the family too was relieved seeing Anupama taking a stand for them in tough times.
But not everyone in the Shah family had this opinion as Anupama. Meanwhile, Vanraj was majorly miffed and blamed Anupama for always taking Samar-Dimpyโs side. Earlier, Vanraj and Anupama got into a big argument because she insisted on her decision that led to saving Kinjal. The squabble foreshadowed more fireworks to come in the Shah household.
A significant part of tonightโs episode was Vanraj exploding out in frustration. He felt that Anupama and other family members were excluding him, which led to an emotional showdown. Vanraj said that Anupama always insults his masculinity and gives more importance to Samar in comparison to the whole family. You could sense the frustration in him, but Anupama responded back keeping her calm and firm.
Anupama said that supporting Samar was not about talking sides but taking a stand which she thought was right. She kept telling Vanraj that for her being a mother was something beyond family politics and whenever wherever whatever time, she stands there from kids. So here began Vanraj and Anupamaโs journey where they started to realize that their views on family dynamics were diametrically different from each other.
In between all forms of chaos, another thing that got the eyeball was todayโs episode Toshu storyline. He did not talk a lot but we know he had his own battle going on silently. You could feel like things were boiling over with Toshu, and it was only a matter of time before he let that torment bubble to the surface. Todayโs subtle hints dropped in the episode may go on to suggest that Toshu will have a more prevalent storyline inverted commas here.
By the end of the episode, Anupama reflected on whatever happened throughout that day. That she kept her cool throughout is a testament to how much Samara has matured as a person. One thing that Anupama has not given in to is compromising with moral beliefs and she does so effortlessly while managing the trials of her family.
But thatโs not the end of Anuj vs Malti Devi and Shah family. The next episode preview teased a drama-filled sequel with Anuj being forced to make a big decision, and Vanraj once again erupting out of frustration.
Todayโs Anupama episode Anupama 16th October motivated the crowd with quite a lot of sad turns and it hints that rivalry wonโt ever be amazing to come about in future. The show was one that we knew we understood so as the complexities of relationships around her played out, Anupama was there always to be what it all finally boiled down- A FAMILY!!!! Certainly, there are more hurdles waiting for Anupama as the conflicts between Anuj and Malti Devi Vs Vanraj go up.
