In the episode of Anupama aired on 29th October 2024, emotions run high as Anupama faces an intense confrontation with Malti Devi. The drama continues to unfold in the Shah and Kapadia families, leaving viewers on edge as relationships are tested, and Anupama once again proves her strength amidst the chaos.
The episode begins with a charged up verbal spat between Anupama and Malti Devi. After weeks of being doubtful and misunderstood, Anupama finally gets level headed to confront Malti Devi about the wrong she has done against her family as well career. Malti Devi, the aunt who always comes across as a strong and forceful personality tries to make her presence felt but Anupama does not budge.
But this time, Anupama who is anyway shown as a very supportive and understanding person flexes her muscles. It reminds Malti Devi of how her selfish actions have not just ruined Her, Attack but also the whole lot that loved, and dependencies. The confrontation is important because it marks a new chapter for Anupama, where she does not shy away and shows some spine. And she will no longer be a passive victim.
But malati reads them all. Degrading herself and then manipulating him back, switching the narrative to her being a victim is a page right out of the narcissist playbook. Disguised As A Lady, Who Claims That Anupama Has Betrayed Her And Is The Root Cause Of All The Chaos In Recent With Sonia Mbio The fact that Malti Devi refuses to take responsibility, only adds fuel to the fire in Anupama and although we see her furious as ever; she does keep it under wraps which truly shows how much character development has taken place.
This builds the tension between these two strong women and perpetuates their ongoing power struggle. I believe this is Anupama’s most transparent point even if there was a whirlpool of emotions brewing inside her during the entire encounter with Malti Devi.
The Shah family, meanwhile, is still feeling the shockwaves of this war. Vanraj, who witnesses everything silently, comes to Anupama’s side. His recent change has left the audience stunned because never before Vanraj was seen more supportive of Anupama. He informs Malti Devi that she has to let Anupama live peacefully and has to stop coming in between their lives.
While Anupama is touched by Vanraj, she keeps herself on track from the larger issue at hand. She needs no friend´s help; but still, she is thankful for the same. This is a huge departure from her character, she was now stronger and more in control.
On the other side, Anuj is on a mission of keeping a time-gap between Malti Devi and the negativity surrounding her. Anuj, who has always been there by her side as a rock for Anupama, stands true to his image of being someone she can confide in and be an emotional support. He tells her she is doing the right thing by fighting back, for herself and those whom she loves.
Samar and Dimpy continue to keep their relationship problems at the forefront while Anupama fights Malti Devi. This creates a tiff between them and Samar is caught in the middle, having to pick sides because of his loyalty towards his mother and love for Dimpy. The episode demonstrates how Samar finds it hard to give equal time and importance between these two centrally important relationships of his life.
A frustrated Dimpy is upset and expresses it which leads to yet another argument. Their ongoing drama brings an extra bit of tension to the episode which signals that not all is well with the younger generation portion of the Shah family either.
The episode takes an intense turn as Anupama warns Malti Devi that she will not tolerate her interference in the affairs of the family. With a high confidence as Anupama takes this stand, it’s just an indication that she no longer is scared of coming across or fighting for her share of happiness and also happy home. Malti Devi walks away in fury as she now knows that her twister is not going to work anymore.
