The increasing misunderstandings and endless pressures of meeting those specific expectations have caused her to seriously doubt where she belongs in the household.
Lakshmi, wandering in her thoughts, is suddenly greeted by Shalu โ who tries to console Lakshmi. Realising that Lakshmi is in a bad place, Shalu tells her sister to not be influenced by others and follow your heart. To some extent, Lakshmi realizes that what she is about to do isnโt just for her and the people around him too
While the entire family is still undergoing problems on the other side of Oberoi mansion. Rishi is torn between his familyโs honour and Lakshmi. He knows their recent events have put a strain on and he has no idea how to undo it.
Neelam on the other hand, is resolute in safeguarding the dignity of elders and family with her though unpalatable choices. But Rachnaโs opinion about Lakshmi is getting more and more negative, feeling she isnโt good for Rishi. The hackles rise around the house, as Neelam starts to get thoroughly pissed off with everyone.
Virendra, who is quite a pro-Lakshmi all along finds himself in-between the horns of dilemma. He wants to be there for Lakshmi; but, he also knows what Neelam is doing to Rishi. And to make a bad situation worse, Virendra tries hard to mediate between his family but in the process only gets more isolated as everyone from either side of the interest tugs at him.
Throughout the episode, it becomes apparent that Lakshmi can no longer run away from her mess. She summons the courage to return back and face Rishi for maybe together they can find a way out of the mess. Lakshmi talks to Shahana about how she feels and the psychological impact that all this has had on her.
Lakshmiโs words make Rishi realize the pain that she is in though he gets hurt. He admits he has not been as supportive, and offers an apology for not realizing her hardship sooner. It is a turning point for them as they realise the need to understand and support each other.
And just when they start getting back together, Neelam has to interfere. She storms upto Lakshmi and accuses her of trying to manipulate Rishi. However cruel words from Neelam make Lakshmi snap. Lakshmi comes to a major realization and makes the tough decision: she leaves Oberoi house temporarily, so everyone gets space.
The family is in shock by Lakshmi leaving Rishi feels as though he may have lost the woman he loves. Lakshmi felt that she had no other options but to take her life, and while Virendra shares in the heartache โ he understands. On the other hand, Neelam is in two minds. She had hoped to eliminate Lakshmi but not quite the way she disappeared now anyway.
Lakshmi packs up as Shalu and Bani try to stop her but she is adamant She feels a pause will give everyone time to think what they really want and maybe help them realize that their relationships are in-balance.
