In todayโs episode of Bhagya Lakshmi (16th September 2024), the story took some unexpected turns as relationships became even more complicated. The show continues to keep viewers on the edge of their seats with its dramatic twists, and this episode was no different.
The episode begins with Rishi (Rohit Suchanti) trying too much as he tries to understand his feelings for Lakshmi(Lakshmi Khare). While he has always had a soft spot for her, it looks like his feelings are amplified by the day. Earlier episodes showed him in a fix as he did not know whether his commitment lies with Malishka or the increasing closeness with Lakshmi.

While Lakshmi on the other hand bears it all remaining strong. Viewers appreciate the strength she displays. Even though she knows of Rishiโs conflicted emotions, rather than beseech his love, she opts for self-respect.
In todayโs episode, she tells Rishi she knows he is puzzled and hopes he will resolve his emotions with time. Lakshmi has shown her strength and maturity in taking this step, not many shows have had a protagonist this mature and sure of who she is.
At the same time, Malishka (played by Maera Mishra) is becoming jealous of Rishi. Feeling that Rishiโs bond with Lakshmi is becoming stronger, she begins to be increasingly desperate to cling onto him.
Malishka today confronts Rishi about his flying loyalty. Malishka accuses Rishi of not having let go, he obviously denies it and yet we wonder if she is right considering his slight pause. Where this love triangle turns next should be a solid storyline for the remainder of โImposters.โโ
Back at the Oberoi House, things take a different turn on the family front. The episode also showed Neelam (Rishiโs mother) burst out in frustration at the ongoing drama of his sonโs life. She struggles not to look bitter and tries to bring her angst home when she talks with her son, while also desiring that the family be harmonious. Her preoccupation is more with her own familyโs pride which appears threatened by Rishiโs lack of clarity.
When things come to a head, Neelam speaks kindly and honestly with Lakshmi about the heartache she can save Laxman from, if only she chooses. But then, Lakshmi has never been one to compromise on her self-respect, and here is where we differ.
The episode concludes on a massive cliffhanger. Rishi is at a crossroads in more ways than oneโfiguratively and literally. He gets a phone call that might change everything, and weโre left wondering if this will bring him closer to Lakshmi or tie him even tighter with Malishka.
As per the twists, turns and recent news of Bhagya Lakshmi, drama is likely to leap forth in the forthcoming episodes and this audience will soon find out how Rishi fixes everything. Lakshmi or Malishka, his love or his duty. whom he follows behind? Only time will tell.
Todayโs episode had a lot of emotional highs and lows, particularly from Rishi. Of course it ends with Lakshmi being strong and Malishka being weak, which is the basic premise of this narrative anyway. There is so much tension between these characters that just adds layers to the story-line which is a great watch for fans.
