In the episode, we see Lakshmi in a tizzy trying to figure out a critical question. One such character is that of Chhaya, played by Manisha Koirala, who has been in a tumultuous relationship with Rishi and there too she seems to stand at a junction. While Lakshmi has always made sacrifices for the betterment of her family, in this episode, she seems to take a little bit of control and think about what actually makes her happy.
The scene reveals Lakshmi looking back at her journey, the sacrifices, conflicts and heartbreak she had suffered. It is a more emotional moment in which we see the battle waging inside her. She knows she has pushed her ambition and personal needs to the back burner because she has been so worried about keeping all of her loved ones functioning together.
In parallel, having just been embroiled in familial and personal trials, Rishi makes a last-ditch attempt to win Lakshmi back. His emotions for her have been all the time difficult and this episode particularly emphasizes how determined he has grown to be. This is in addition to the fact that he also recognizes his own small errors and requests Lakshmi to not take such a decision.
Rishi has an emotional breakdown and admits that he cannot even think of living for one more day without Lakshmi. There in sincerity and honesty, but Lakshmi looks like she has outgrown that manipulation. And now begins a defining moment in their relationship – whether Lakshmi can put her trust back on Rishi, or if she needs to move on from him.
And as we suspected, Malishka is not just spending her time sitting on the sidelines watching Lakshmi and Rishi work their way through some very complicated character relationship issues. In this episode of today, you can see Malishka still manipulating whatever she can to her favor. She is hell-bent on getting Rishi back and the lengths that she goes to in order to do just that are shocking.
Malishka is trying to change Rishi and Lakshmi thinking he wishes Lakshmi, beneath one olive price of doubt at the experience of correct, as a stop result that each one her doubts flows toward him and from thereon she leaves displeased with him. But her master plan goes anything but smoothly. This development in Lakshmi leads her to becoming stronger and harder for Malishka to succeed, which only escalates the anticipation of the episode. Well, it is established that Malishka will not be giving up fast (ps: she probably has another big move coming soon)
Rishi’s mother Neelam and Virendra, his father, also have an important part in today’s episode. They care a lot about her and they feel very sad at Lakshmi moving away from Rishi. Virendra sides with Lakshmi in all her decisions, which is causing the internal conflict to stay alive inside Neelam. Its focus is that of a mother being loyal to her son but at the same time understanding and embracing the fact that Lakshmi had worked as a glue to hold them together as a family.
Neelam confronts Lakshmi, asks her to change her mind and think about the future of the family. A twist of fate, while Virendrawho tells Rishi to give Lakshmi time so she can make an informed decision. This episode really emphasizes just how tangled and twisted these family dynamics are with different characters having a totally opposing view of the situation.
And that’s the (almost final) head-twister of which we finally get an answer, as Lakshmi makes her pick to close out the episode. She then calls out Rishi and Malishka in an intense scene, saying that she won’t be controlled or forced into circumstances not beneficial to her anymore. Which makes this move of Lakshmi a strong way of showing independence and self-respect in her character arc.
She doesn’t say outright whether she decides to make things work with Rishi or leave her husband, but it is implied that this is the first time she’s ever had to put herself before anyone else. They have left the viewers in excitement for the next episode because now whatever Lakshmi will decide, it sure will impact everyone.
Amidst all of this Lakshmi will not back down and instead, she bravely fights it out for her own future which leads to bigger drama in Bhagya Lakshmi. We want to know, will Rishi handle Lakshmi differently now that she’s discovered the strength to stand up for herself? Has Malishka planned everything to backfire on her finally? What will the Oberoi family do in that situation now?
