She advises Lakshmi to take care of her own emotions and make sure she is happy along with telling that it does not mean you love your family less if you stand up for yourself. It is through this conversation Lakshmi reaches a turning point realizing she has self respect and should no longer accept to be in the shadows of others.
While this on the other hand, Rishi finds himself in a fix as he was going through his feelings for Lakshmi also along with Malishka. Rishiโs indecisiveness has caused much harm to Lakshmi, in fact the episode today sees Rishi repent for what he did. He admits to himself that he messed up and later when his mother Neelam tells him the truth about what happened, they both decide to talk things out with Lakshmi.
Rishi goes to Lakshmi regretting his share of sorrow she had endured. While he states that she has been too good to him and is going to bless me for the rest of my life, honestly in his eyes (although itโs almost a love letter wrapped as an apology), it feels more like: But Lakshmi is wary. Lakshmi, on the other hand, tells Rishi that an apology means shit when it is devoid of action. She is done passively waiting around for things to change as she screams inside.
Lakshmi further makes a stand in front of Rishi and the Oberois that she will not let her self-respect fall. Eventually, she reveals that all of this came about because she feels like she needs days and miles to decide what her life is going to be. The family is shocked with Lakshmiโs decision, Rishi being horrified to learn that he may never get back if he takes time toโฆ
A scene that showcases the character development of Lakshmi. She is not that same quiet martyr who tolerates all in the name of others. Now she is all set not to let destiny play games on her and never wants to compromise for herself over the family.
Lakshmi taking a strong step, has an impact on the entire Oberoi house. Neelam, who has an already-stormy relationship with Lakshmi, is surprised at her resolve. She has never come to terms with the fact that Lakshmi could be her dream daughter-in-law but she cannot grudge, seeing this newfound confidence.
While, Karishma and Malishka begin to frown at Lakshmiโs move. Malishka is pissed off, who has been waiting for Lakshmi to leave so she can have Rishi with only herself and feels threatened by the assertiveness of lakshmi. Karishma too, is busy playing safe by taking Kokeriyaโs side and informs the family that Lakshmi is just creating a mountain of problems for no reason. The fact the rest of the family seems to realise this is pertinent and a result (give Lakshmi has been through as part of customary female servitude) on her behaviour.
At the end of the episode, when it appears that a lot has been resolved and everyone is happy โ Lakshmi walks out from the conversation without saying anything. The damage is done, and Rishi stands there clueless on what to do next. What will happen when Rishi realises that he is no longer one of the two most important things in Lakshmiโs life. Or will Lakshmi change her path and Rishi rise to the occasion proving his love for good.
