Tuesday’s episode of Days of Our Lives (September 10, 2024) was packed with emotional confrontations, shocking secrets, and shifting dynamics in Salem. As always, the town’s residents find themselves entangled in complex relationships, with unexpected twists that are sure to leave fans guessing.
Sami Brady is back in Salem and everything we wanted to happen has started happening. For so long, she was away from her family and the moment is palpable; already causing upheaval. On Wednesday however, Sami’s true intentions still remain mysterious but she did involve herself in her family’s matters fairly quickly.
She first visited her twin brother Eric’s house. By the time Sami departed, she was worried about her family — and most particularly, that Belle hated her. After some more drama between the siblings she asks Maggie if they can talk and it comes off as heartfelt.52 seconds of 1:47 now feels like Sami is hatching a plan. Nothing is ever an easy drop-by with Sami. So what is she hiding and how will her comeback affect the rest of Salem?
As Sami works to mend things with Eric, Belle hits a rough patch in her marriage. Shawn and Belle have been on the rocks for a while now, but today’s episode brought their struggles to light. Belle talks to Chloe about her struggling marriage and how she feels it is on the edge.
In stark contrast, Shawn feels aloof, which in turn keeps Belle at a distance from him emotionally. Fans wonder if Shawn still has trauma from whatever went down before and try to figure out what is going on. Their chemistry is abound and Bells wondering what the future holds for them, suggesting that there may be a huge choice on the horizon.
And Chloe and Xander’s friendship deepens. In today’s episode, viewers watched a fledgling romance take shape that may not be so typical on the romantic rollercoaster in Salem. There Xander, notorious for his criminal past of a chequered nature and surprisingly he actually seems to be turning around. He is definitely warming up as he hangs more with Chloe, but it’s unclear how Chloe feels.
At the Brady Pub, Chloe and Lucas have a heart-to-heart where she further expresses in her own voice that Steve or Victor could hurt her by getting to know more about who Daniel really was. Though there is not an outright romantic move yet, it is very clear that they have incredible chemistry. Will those old skeletons be the death of any possibility at love?
A BIG reveal for Nicole Walker who has a life changing secret of her own. Nicole tells her best friend Abe that, in a moment of weakness, she slept with another boy; the problem is she is pregnant. This confession has left Nicole vulnerable and at a crossroads with whether or not to tell the probable dads.
At the hospital, Nicole runs into EJ and her situation becomes more unique. Though the conversation is terse, a viewer can feel something else unsaid in the air between them. Is EJ the father? Or could it be someone else? Nicole will be pushed to the brink in this plot, and that story is only going to grow more as fans worry about what she might do next.
The Kiriakis family is still mourning the death of Victor. Sonny is feeling the burden of his uncle’s death. On today’s episode, we heard Sonny remember what Victor meant to him as several flashbacks showed how far back they have come.
Of course, there is a deeper meaning in Sonny’s story. Now, he must do his bit as the Kiriakis man of the house. But pressure is building and time will tell if Sonny can meet the challenge. This change of power only adds fuel to an already high drama rate amongst he and his cousins with what is sure to be more family fueled tension in the next few episodes.
As Tuesday’s episode drew to a conclusion it left more questions unanswered than before. No doubt there will be more mayhem in store for when Sami reappears as she has a way of doing that. Belle and Shawn barely can hold their marriage together, Nicole has a baby secret ready to rock the boat even more, and Sonny’s status as an heir to his Kiriakis family dynasty seems all but doomed.
The drama and the feels don’t end on Days of Our Lives, in fact they only get more complex as Tuesday’s episode reminded us. Make sure to tune in tomorrow as more secrets, relationships and tension are revealed
