The broadcast of the much-awaited episode of Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua that aired on 19th September 2024, will surely take viewers through an emotional rollercoaster. The multiple story lines, interesting characters and love triangles continued to intrigue the fans โ having just the right amount of romance, deep betrayal and suspense that viewers have come to know and love.
The episode begins with a lovely scene between Aarav and Priya except it quickly turns sour because of a misjudgment from Maaya. Mayaโs inherent but also long-held unrequited feelings for him sap her will, and she resorts to desperate measures to get involved as much as possible in his life under the guise of Aaravโs childhood friend, encouraging a few not-so-innocent tampering. The up close and personal camera work during these moments increases the emotional tension, thereby making you invest more fully in what is going on.
Watching the series unfold, one begins to see Priya bewildered and feeling betrayed and its hard but beautifully acted by the actress. It is one of those simple but emotionally weighed dialogues that does a commendable job of instantaneously depicting the depth up to which she was burdened inside. On the other hand, Aarav is chased by a loyalty test when he learns that his most trusted advisor and someone whom he had regard as family has been leaking business secrets to a rival. That piece of information comes courtesy of a tense series of secret rendezvous and wire tap intercepts that illustrates Billionsโ web of corporate drama clashing with personal life.
A second storyline about the troubled marriage of Priyaโs brother Nikhil brings depth to the episode. His arc is treated with delicacy and recycles the notion of love and dedication beyond the core couple. The tough to watch sequences of Nikhil with his battling wife, who tells him she will leave if things do not change, are especially hard-hitting and really ground the storytelling in a reality.
In the fall-out of the storylineAarav and Priya re the arguments climax with Aarav finding himself on a family gathering where he confronts Priya. And all of that takes place over the back-and-forth of a classic tension-filled family dinner, with each woman putting in their best-performances which make scenes like this where they are sharing the same room but have yet to reach some kind of reconciliation. Yet as a resolution appears imminent, a twist is thrownโone of Priyaโs unresolved personal traumas arrives at the dinner in the flesh (shrouded in shadow and ominous music), ensuring more fireworks are yet to come. The arrival of a completely unexpected franchise changes up the balance, and it also tees them up for further movement.
The episode does a great job both direction and script as each scene is carefully built to suspense while also advancing basic character arcs. Both the music and cinematography assist in telling the story, while lifting a mood or driving home key points.
With so many questions answered but still more left unaswered, this is where Breaking Bad thrives, especially 3 episodes before the end. After so many unanswered questions and possible conflicts at hand, the anticipation for next week has never been higher.
Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua โ This film is still an evergreen with fans even today, owing to a good script and well rounded characterisation. The simplest shouty-shaking of a Geralt ambush on Renfri (Emma Appleton) aside, itโs no wonder so many have fallen in love with this show as it continues to mix classic melodrama with new ways to stab fans in the back. As the story develops, it remains to be seen how many dramatic heights that Altered Carbon will get to hit or what secrets will actually feel worth stringing people along for.
