Based on these first three episodes, there is little risk in saying that the show remains one of television’s most emotionally dense and dynamic series.
And it really leaves the viewers curious about what Katha and Viaan do next. So, yes you may still have issues with Scandal, but between the direction and writing team setting up pieces in ways to earn that gotdamn (especially since it was done through characterizations), if anything; an armchair observer of scandal would find fresh meat for about a week.
