As Preeta finally spills the secret that she kept hidden, various reactions follow and we see faces full of shocker all edged on by disbelief or masked anger in case of luthra family members.
This is actually a brilliant deployment of these reactions to communicate just how serious this all really is, in the context of an episode. The Luthras, always having an amazingly integrated family, were shattered hearing Preetaโs truth. It is never overly dramatic in nature and instead captures the emotional turmoil of this family which adds an edge to it.
Karan has always been Preetaโs support system and now he is caught amidst the situation. He loves Preeta more than anything but the situation she is in right now has put him at a crossroads. The episode does quite well in displaying Karanโs conflict and makes us able to feel his struggle between his family values and Preeta.
Karan has always had grey shades in the series, and this episode is no different. However, one of the best tracks in this episode is where he responds to Preeta and it stands out as here we have Rishabh battling with his thoughts very realistically.
The Luthra family, which is supposed to be a picture-perfect example of unity, hides it all under the carpet as Preeta comes forward with her revelation. Unless also shows you different ways a family collectively reacts to it ( Dadiโs heartbreak, Rishabh rose up). Everyone reacts as we already know they would, once again lending the episode a realistic air.
One thing that does stand out in this episode is the later portrayal of family relationships. Having always stuck together, the Luthras now stand on that cusp where a single mistakeโฆ will break them apart. The episode does better by revealing that the feuding families are, in fact, at a bit of an inflection point.
The Luthra family is shaken by Preetaโs confession as the episode comes to an end. Relationships are tested and the family is rocked. The show has got the viewers hooked with a feeling of what will now happen with Luthra.
The cliffhanger ending lands and leaves viewers chomping at the bit for more from Harmony. The episode feels well-paced as each scene leads into the next ro provide an enjoyable and coherent story.
