In the previous episode of Kundali Bhagya, which aired on 31 August 2024, Karan gives a surprising answer after Preeta leaves that shakes the entire Luthra family. The theme of this entry is love, trust and difficult decisions within a family.
The episode starts with Karan (played by Dheeraj Dhoopar) rolling around after Preeta’s leaving. Taking a step that everyone did not expect, Preeta will move out of Luthra house for some time to concentrate on her mental peace. As Karan goes through his day, the absence of her is palpable as he tries with great difficulty to move on.
Karan’s dichotomy is the pillar of this entire episode. He’s always been the protector and now in a situation where he is helpless. He never left loving Preeta but he is divided between standing by her decision and wanting to bring her back home. The emotional heartache on display here is exquisite, as Blake realizes with full force the severity of his predicament.
While Karan is trying to digest his feelings, Luthra family comes into contact with them. Rakhi, Mahesh and Kritika along with a few others come around and Karan try to console him in their own way. Even as all of them are tense with different worries related to Preeta missing, the family stands together during this tough period symbolising unity in diversity.
Especially in this episode, Rakhi is the one who makes or breaks out of the house. She consoles Karan reminding him that Preeta choosing to take some time away doesn- apologise for abandoning the family. The only thing keeping Karan’s emotions at bay is Rakhi words of wisdom and tranquillity.
Sometime in the day, Karan shocks everybody with his strange resolution. Can’t just sit there waiting for Preeta to come back, Karan resolves that it’s time he must fight. He declares that he is going to leave the Luthra house today and will find Preeta and together with her, intends on supporting them all in this journey of realizing one’s identity proving a point that she isn’t alone.
The decision has left the entire family in shock. Karan is their love and he is on the main door to go behind Preeta, but this leads to mixed feelings. Where some family members including Kritika are in favour of his decision as they think that Karan will make Preeta realise her mistake soon and she comes back to Luthra house faster. But others are concerned about what it means for Karan and Preeta to be absent from home together.
A tearful goodbye from Karan as he leaves his family behind. The family scenes are emotional with all of the members pouring their fears and expectations from Karan’s journey. Karan touches the feet of Rakhi before leaving and cries, she hugs him teary eyed… Bless him.. Prevents bad eye for going as he wanted Preeta back home. He is, however, supportive towards Karan in his endeavour for love since sometimes it’s all about the risk.
With Karan heading for the exit, this is a pivot in their story. His efforts to search for Preeta and get her back only prove how much he loves her and wants his marriage with him. It seems exciting and emotional twists as the episode ends with Karan stepping out of his Luthra home in preparation for this journey.
