In today’s episode of Kundali Bhagya (16th October 2024), viewers were taken on a roller-coaster ride as the long-awaited return of Preeta brought fresh twists to the story. Her comeback, after months of absence, has stirred the Luthra family, causing tension, surprise, and confusion. Let’s dive into what happened in this emotionally charged episode.
The episode starts with Preeta entering the Luthra house surprising everyone. Her sudden reappearance left everybody, especially Karan who was trying to get over her apparent forfeit at a complete loss of words. Karan was relieved to see Preeta again but her reappearance triggered a mess of feelings for Karan. Although a question in everyone’s mind did arise as to how could Karan let go of Preeta like that but the one this on back for sure where has been all these while.
Although Preeta entered the Luthra mansion with a very drowned face, she was composed. In the presence of Preeta, Karan was laden with emotional turmoil which he desperately tried to repress, restraining everyone from genuinely saying what they actually wished for. Her family was glad to have her back, but some were left suspicious of why she ever ran away in the first place given no one had any idea where she went.
The episode also showed the tension in Shaurya and Preeta’s life. But he lost his brother status with Shaurya and family when mom came out. And we will hear this in a short exchange between him and her: he reproaches her why she had left the family when they needed them most. Preeta felt bad about her son’s allegations, but she tried to make him understand the situation that led them there whereas Shaurya refused.
This confrontation had been building up over the last few episodes because, Shaurya, resentment to how his parents manage him has always made it an open wound for both sides of a very conflicted love that flows within this family. The agony going on in him as he tried to convert his fear of losing his mother into love for her was a central theme – or maybe the question, really — in today’s episode.
Meanwhile, Karan found himself in a dilemma with his feelings for Preeta and the suspicion caused by her abrupt return. We already saw Karan rebuilding his collapsed life after getting Preeta lost. Now he is completely torn, fulfilling the fight of multiple emotions. Although his heart knew that Preeta was back to him, the rationality declined the word she said because a large number of questions were unanswered related to what went wrong between them.
Rakhi (Karan’s mother) stood by his side as a support and asked Karan to think of all the happy moments he spent with Preeta so that it makes him believe how real her love was for them, urging karannot to trust Only Rajendra but also God who have kept place in everyone heart. Rakhi’s whole-hearted faith in Preeta proved to be a much-needed balm amidst the double-edged swords and dagger-eyed glares at Luthra mansion. But not everyone agreed with her.
Preeta’s return left Nidhi, an important part of Karan’s life in Preeta-less days, elated and how! As the episode progressed, Nidhi started feeling insecure and felt that she was somewhere losing Luthra family. Her concern was not unjustified — as Preeta steps in the situation starts getting spicy again between her and Karan, making Nidhi insecure.
Interestingly, Nidhi made a wise move by instilling doubt in Karan about Preeta’s motives. Although Karan appeared a bit unsure, Nidhi’s insecurities marked disputes which were likely to be shown in the episodes.
In the end, Preeta and Karan are friends after a long time. Preeta was on the edge of tears and she requested Karan to let her explain. She alluded to a bigger mystery that was behind her being missing, something she had no control over. Still reluctant, Karan now condescended and grudgingly agreed to listen if only they could tell him the real story.
We met when something significant happened in their lives, introducing us to the emotional roller-coaster ride that lies ahead for Preeta and Karan. With Preeta ready to spill beans, let us wait and watch if her reason might get the family back or break them apart.
