This only furthers Dua’s woes, as one of her own family members (Gazal) is serving to divide Haider and his clan further. In this episode, we also get that Gazal slowly is getting under her skin and Dua’s place in the household risks being pressured by psychological tactics as manipulations become more clear on Gazal’s part. Dua looks to pray again in “New Rules,” this time wondering aloud if her beliefs will bolster her during tougher seasons, as the episode wraps up. Her identity is split — she loves her family but cannot even fathom ever being happy with them. Powerful are the quiet praying shots and cuts we see about her, putting to work that spiritual heart.
The episode ends on a pensive note when Dua is left questioning whether she will get that tranquillity and organisation in her life or if more hurdles are yet to come.
