Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: 6th September, one of the most awaited and grand episodes took its ways with all sortsa offers this Thursday… And as always they left us anticipating like hell to take over what was simply gonna bangle our attention in return. Abhimanyu and Akshara, their families either supporting or plotting against each other, withstanding these relationships is not easy… and well as we head closer to the date this relationship sailed off from it becomes an interesting outing for.
Few days back Akshara & Abhimanyu made a big decision in life to relocate their homes for a job offer he has been waiting for since long. For Abhimanyu this was an amazing opportunity as it meant that his career could take off to new heights, but the only downside is… Relocating to a new city will entail them bidding farewell for their family, buddies and his or her dwelling in Udaipur.
Meanwhile, Akshara struggles. She wants to be there for Abhimanyu and she gets that his career is important but you know with the children in mind, it all seems a bit hard. I think the show does an excellent job in painting that picture.The challenges of couples trying to make it all work between professional opportunities and personal lives. Abhimanyu and Akshara get emotional but it looks like an extremely practical conversation where they are trying to understand the complexity of their decisions.
When the Salazars hear that they might have to move, reactions differ. A visibly tense Manjari (Abhimanyu Shishodia’s mother) Since she has been a very protective parent towards her son, and the thought of him leaving along with Akshara is heartbreaking for her. She pleads with Abhimanyu to think about what their family means for them when they are alone and helpless.
Many audiences can find common ground with Manjari and her emotional response. The fear of losing connections with your family on a day-to-day basis is a strong thread, and her plea in the episode puts an emotional perspective to it. Meanwhile, Akshara’s family is a bit sad too but they tend to be more realistic with their choice; which pretty much makes it clear that Abhimanyu must go ahead and fulfil his wish.
The intensity of this family dynamic also shows what an undertaking it is to make decisions that impact not only the couple but their extended families. This aspect makes the story lines, which viewers often relate to because of attempting to navigate their own trials and tribulations between work grinds or maternal stresses (or if you’re doing both), feel more life-like.
Another pivotal character we meet is played by none other than Abhimanyu’s son, who goes by the name of Abhir on the show as well. He gets to know about the discussion regarding relocation and discusses with Akshara. Abhir is very fond of his school, friends, and life in Udaipur that the thought of taking him away makes me feel tense. His emotional outburst leaves Akshara a little startled but she assures him that they will take the right decision for their whole family.
The sitcom delicately illustrates how altering circumstances can affect youngsters — both in terms of their emotional development and the responsibilities hinging on parents. The reaction from Abhir helps that heavy situation land a little bit for us, as I think many parents can relate to moments where we need to walk on the earth and consider what is going to happen, based on our actions in regards to our children.
On the other hand, Kairav [Akshara’s brother] comes to give his piece of mind. He tells both Abhimanyu and Akshara to handle such a huge choice with attention. Kairav is the sane sounding board in Akshara life and his input here offers a unique color to this one. And while a career is never worth the mental or emotional health of an entire family, he asserts.
Kairav plays a huge role today as he is the one who has joined family obligation with personal ambition. The realisation that grows on Abhimanyu, a bit later than it should have is hair-raising and has Akshara thinking whether this be made the benchmark for his happiness in life.
However, towards the end of this ordeal Abhimanyu and Akshara are only forced to decide. They decide to think about it for a little while and do what is best for their family. In the end, leaving viewers confused whether they will relocate or remain in Udaipur. This tension is left unresolved and will be continued into the next episode, leaving audiences in suspense.
September 6th, 2024: This Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode dove into the real topics about family and business along with personal growth. Shifting to ATM brought in an emotional dilemma for all the viewers as they cannot decide if it was wise of Abhimanyu and Akshara. And with the support and considerations of their families at stake, it is obvious this decision will have a large impact on both couple’s family future.
