This leaves Abhimanyu torn because his family is from Udaipur and he knows that this change would have a huge impact on everyone, specifically Akshara.
Meanwhile, Abhimanyu is undecided and puzzled under pressure. He is tucked between his dreams of the future and obligations to family. This entire scene of Abhimanyu sitting alone and thinking about his hesitation shows well the gravity of the situation he finds himself in. It is easier for the viewers to empathise with his situation as his face reflects the internal struggle.
On the other hand at Arya Mahal, Akshara feels that Abhimanyu is disturbed. So, she confronts him and he confesses about the job. Stunned, Akshara’s mind explodes with the possibilities. They are matters of both the heart after all Udaipur is their home and where many tales have unfolded for her since they became a family when she married into theirs as well semi-adopted children including Tree Outright, not that anyone was going to say it aloud; Gayatri figures they had reached some kind of equilibrium regarding one another or developed enough trust there), but perhaps releasing Abhimanyu out at this stage in his life alone even on valid pretence something else altogether.
The chaos in Akshara’s life is quite obvious as she struggles to deal with the big news. Love and duty have always been the struggle at her core, (her identity is WonderWoman after all soooo) and this scenario puts our heroine between a rock and many hard places. And the exchanges between Akshara and Abhimanyu are also sweetly genuine, reflecting how well-matched these two might be but also what they still have to work through as a couple.
The rest of the family comes to know about Abhimanyu’s job offer, and reactions pour in. Manjari (Abhimanyu’s mother) – supportive of her son but concerned over choice affecting family unity. She has always been the one holding her family in place, and Abhimanyu leaving will break her heart.
However, Aarohi who is a career driven girl and wants to make it big in her life with a good job competing for this opportunity. Using her persuasion skills, she hints Abhimanyu to accept the offer and tells him indirectly that his going away from home can provide a pathway for herself in Udaipur.
Episode 6 ends with Abhimanyu on the terrace watching Udaipur’s city lights. And the weight of his choice is still bearing down on him, but he knows that whichever way it goes will change everything. Akshra came and both of them spent a silent moment knowing that their lives are going to change from here.
The episode ends with them posing, standing beside each other: and it is clear that the choice Abhimanyu has to make requires more than a bit of what appears required in this need. Will he sacrifice his career dreams for a family and Akshara or chase them? This next episode has the makings of a tear jerker.
We can imagine the consequent disasters that Abhimanyu will have to face in forthcoming episodes. Will Akshara be able to adjust with the changes or will their bond break under any pressure. The series is focusing on love, sacrifice and how the tough decisions we make shape who we are.
